Cytisus x praecox 'Albus' is a dense bushy shrub, with dark green, fine upright stems, and white pea-like flowers with a cream centre, covering the whole plant in spring. Grow in full sun, in a well-drained border, preferably acidic, but Cytisus x praecox 'Albus' will tolerate alkaline soils. Height 90-100cm.

Much like the Hogwarts headmaster who shares its name, Cytisus x praecox 'Albus' is truly magical. The hardy shrub's deciduous foliage has a grey tint, which is sure to stand out at the back of sunny borders. When the plant grows in full sunlight, it produces spectacular, white flowers in the late spring. This Broom is a great, low-maintenance choice for both cottage and costal gardens, for it flourishes in most soil types and requires little attention, even in difficult weather conditions.
