A deciduous, bushy shrub with attractive foliage that changes from bronze-tinged through green to red during the year. Domed clusters of fragrant, pink flowers are produced during the spring, followed by red berries that turn dark to black. Flowers April-May. Height 200-250cm.

This hardy deciduous shrub is unmissable in spring. Each shoot is tipped with a cluster of tight red buds which unfurl to reveal tubular pink flowers with the most intoxicating fragrance.
